Now that we’ve waved goodbye to Summer 2016, we’ve also waved goodbye to some great trends. While winter might be upon us, Spring Summer 2017 is just around the corner and that means new trends and styles to look forward to.

We saw a variety of inspirations grace the catwalks during Fashion Week and these are by far the top 5 that stood out the most:

Already a hit in previous years, metallics offer a fun touch of glamour to your outfit, especially when they come in fun pops of colour. Your skin won’t be the only thing that will glimmer during the warmer months.

The ehanced designs will be in full effect for Spring Summer 2017 as we’ll see very much in season embellishments attached to clothes and accessories. Keeping in line with the seasonal theme, floral embellishments will be peaking out on dresses, blouses and jackets adding further interest to a piece. As the flowers bloom next season, so will your outfit.

Always popular amongst Spring Summer, prints will make a comeback in time for the warmer months. The catwalks were filled with ranges from big, bold and graphic prints to smaller detailed prints in all shades of colour. And of course it wouldn’t be Spring Summer without floral prints, with some designers incorporating a bohemian style.

The catwalks were full of fun pops of colour during Fashion Week, complimenting the summer season. Making a comeback next year, designers have found ways to incorporate the traditional ‘picnic’ checks in to a more style-setting and trendy way. Just like on the runways we’ll be sure to see this fabric make it’s way next season in the form of ruffled blouses, dresses and bell-bottom trousers.

With more trends set to hit the highstreet next year, Spring Summer can’t come soon enough!
